"Rants" by Akira
(2002-07-27)

Today's comic strip is a parody of Yumi Hotta and Takeshi Obata's "Hikaru no Go" using "ExCoKo" casts. Thank you for a great guest comic strip DIsk and Terra. DIsk posted an image of Onii-chan and Laika cosplaying as Hikaru and Sai at "Tsunami Channel" forum. Then later, I receive a guest comic strip from DIsk through mail. It was realy funny, but I thought these two images have to be together. I saw Terra coloring the DIsk's drawing and I really liked it too. I cut and pasted these two pictures without asking DIsk and Terra. I hope it's ok...

"Hikaru no Go" is about a young boy named Hikaru Shindo gets posessed by legendary Go master, Fujiwara no Sai, and learns to play Go. The art work is really amazing and story is great too. It is one of my favorite comics and it is one of the reason why I buy "Shounen Weekly Jump".

Sai is a 1000 year old ghost who only Hikaru can see and talk. Sai loves to play go, but he can only do so through help of Hikaru. Sai acts very childish and always whines "I want to play, I want to play". He will never threaten Hikaru using violence as Laika-Sai did in today's comic strip.
