Experimental Comic Kotone #418 "Time Passed"

Comic Strip

"Time Passed" by Akira
(2005-10-07)

Time passed in real and comic worlds are different. For example, last three minutes of the battle can take more than a month to complete. There is also famous "Garasu no Kamen (The Mask of Glass)" where author took six years to complete volume 42 of manga (Hopefully vol.43 is coming out this or next year?). On the other hand, "Hikaru no Go" was interesting because time passed in comic and real were same... Anyway, I just felt weird about these time paradoxes and that's how I came up with today's comic strip. Today was the only chance I had (before starting real ExCoKo or MaMi story lines) to write this joke. I really didn't want to miss this great opportunity ^_^; I hope you enjoyed it.

Konstantin has already appeared in the previous parody strip, so technically it's only four days to him. But a parody strips are happening in the parallel world (Otherwise Konstantin and Professor can't meet like that). So what konstantin is saying is true. ExCoKo Konstantin was taking a nap for that long. I was quite amazed I haven't drawn Mina for two years. I think she's bored to death. It's interesting that longer the absence is, this joke becomes funnier. Maybe I should have waited for... 1000 days? ^_^;

Today's strip took 5 hours:
Sketch10:00pm - 1:00 am3:00
Inking 1:00am - 2:00 am1:00
Screen 2:00am - 2:30 am0:30
Dialog 2:30am - 3:00 am0:30

"October Anime Schedule" by Akira
(2005-10-08)

I'm planning to check out these anime that are starting from October. New anime series tend to start four times a year (January, April, July, and October, 13x4=52 weeks). There are so many series to check out. I hope I can survive this anime season...

  1. GunParade Orchestra - I liked GunParade March, so I'm looking forward seeing this sequel.
  2. Canvas2 - I have this game, but haven't played it yet. I'm not ancitipating too much on this series ^^;
  3. ToHeart2 - I have this game too, but haven't played it yet... Konomi-chan reminds of Tsunami-chan :)
  4. Mahoushoujo Lilical Nanoha A's - I really liked the last show, so I think I'll enjoy this again. The magical battle scenes were really cool (They were actually 'fighting' with magics), unlike most magical girl show.
  5. Shakugan no SHANA - It's based on the novel and the illustrator is famous. I'm hoping it's good...
  6. ARIA The ANIMATION - I don't know anything about this ^^;
  7. Mai Otome - Sequel to My Hime. I don't know anything about this either.
  8. BLOOD+ - Gundam Seed Destiny finally ended, so I'm going to watch the anime at this time slot again.
  9. Lamune - Anime is based on the game created by Nekoneko Soft (18 over). They are famous for making "honobono" bishoujo games...
  10. Paradise Kiss - I need to watch some girl anime.
  11. Mushishi - Anime is based on one of my favorite manga of all time. I can't wait this to be on air. The bad part is... I already know all the story... ; _ ;
  12. Happy Seven - Just felt like it ^^;
  13. Cluster Edge - Design looks cool and I don't know anything about the story. So I think I'll enjoy.
  14. Ginban Kaleidoscope - Story about figure based on novels. Looks interesting. It's the first figure anime.
