I was extremely busy this month... Jobs kept coming and coming, I didn't have time to work on the comic strips... Sorry... ; _; I'll be busy until the end of September, but after that, I should be okay, I hope....

Both Fuuka and Jung got hurt in this strip. I should add blood splash at panels 6 and 7. ^_^; I only had time to do detailed rought sketch on the last panel. Usually I complete the page with very rought sketches first and then go for the details panel by panel. So this page is only 1/9 complete...

"Cosplay" by Konstantin
(2006-09-26)

After years of meaning to, planning to, and never getting around to doing cosplay, I finally bit the bullet this week. Admittedly, it was due to being invited to the wedding of a couple of my friends, who, after failing to settle on a denomination, have decided to do a cosplay ceremony instead (the impressive thing was that they actually managed to get the parents into costumes). Having briefly considered making something myself, I quickly remembered that my sewing skills were a notch below my cooking skills, which in turn, hover just barely above the ramen-burning level. Luckily, there was eBay, which let me procure a custom-tailored Archer costume from somewhere in China.

All in all, the costume turned out pretty well if I do say so myself. It helped that the wedding took place in Baltimore, so seeing the skyline automatically put me into an Otakon frame of mind. Was a bit embarrassing walking the three blocks from the hotel to where the ceremony was held, but was a lot of fun once I got there. Definitely thinking of trying it out at a major con at some point.

Of course now that my first try proved to be fairly successful, I'm already thinking of all the other possibilities. Maybe I could even outgar the current costume. Wonder if I can pull off Anavel Gato...
