• About Today's Comic - Nothing important to the main story occurs in this page. It's just a typical morning scene. "A daughter of Kawashima" => Mai => "Mai Kawashima" is her full name. Kenji's mother is a little conservative typical Japanese mother. She doesn't like Kenji going out (hanging out?) with Mai.

• Minna no Uta - Short five minutes music show that is aired between regular shows. It's going on for 46 years at NHK (Japanese Public Broadcast). There are old famous songs (among Japanese) like "Yamaguchi-sanchi no Tsutomu-kun", "Computer Obaa-chan", and "Kitakaze Kozou no Kantarou".

  There are recent songs+animations that might catch eyes of anime lovers.

  1. "Egao" - animation done by Makoto Shinkai. A bit sad story and song, but extremely cute..

  2. "Tsuki no Walts" - beautiful (little scary) animation and beautiful (catchy) song. When I first saw this on TV, I couldn't believe this was "Minna no Uta"... Theme is about... kidnapping???

  3. "Kaze no Toorimichi" - animation done by STUDIO GHIBLI. It's obvious, isn't it?

• Anchor Drawing Thread (1) (2) - In Japanese BBS (like 2ch), an "anchor-type" drawing thread is getting quite popular. The creator of the thread asks for drawing requests by specifying the "future" post number(s) (In this example it was >>5, >>35, >>75, etc...). The request which is posted on the specific post number is chosen and the creator draws and uploads it to the thread. It's quite neet, I mean neat.
