	"Saimoe update and Touhou Seimoe update" by Totaku (2007-09-18) And so here I am with the Saimoe update because as of this point, round one of the block competition is over. Saimoe Block battle: Round one At the beginning there were 291 charaters that were selected from many hundreds in the early pliminaries to partake in the main competion. And following after a long struggling battle.... 97 remain. There were many interesting charaters in this competions hat looked strong, but yet many surprised began to take shape here as well.... Some of these major heighlights include.... The Great Tie On the very first round of the of the Saimoe tournament, it was expected that Shana and Evangeline would have the upper hand against the competition. But no one expected Shana and Eva to tie both with 754 votes. Since they both tied they both were allowed to proceed to the next round. Lucky Star's strong offence Everyone probably knows of Lucky Star by now and how popular it is and it's showing in the Saimoe tournament. Konata, Kagami, Tsukasa and Miyuki totally dominated the competion on round one. And a few side charaters manged to make it through the process as well such as Yui Narumi and Ayano Minagishi. But it's pretty clear though the ones that will totally be dominate in most of this competions will most likely be Konata and Migani sisters (and possibly Miyuki). Only time will tell how opposing forces will retaliate. Return of some strong competion It also appears mayny old faces are back for a vicious comback and it shows that some fans are determined to keep them strong... On the Rozen Maiden side, we have the "Boku", the "Desu", The "Kashira", the "Fake", Shinku and the "Junk" have all returned once again to try an attempt to become a force in the competions. And also on the Nanoha end, her have Nanoha, Fate, Hayate, Shamal, and Vita have maanged to pass the first round( I am a sad that Reinforce "Small Boss" II did not make it but I guess a little "Uguu" can go a long ways...) And finally, some faces have returned from Higurashi as well along with new ones. Rika is back and stronger than ever, and also Takano Miyo is finally having some time to shine (since we know more about her now...) and also Mion is back....but do they have what it takes to stay afloat? Also....curse the time release date issue for not allowing "Auauaua~ ;_;" into the competion! She would be the moeest of all the Higurashi crew...but she will still remain as she always in...invisible by most people. :P People to look out for This year, it appears we will also have some extemly strong competion with some of the new animes that have come out lately. Besides mentioning Lucky Star we also have to face other unique competion that is showing to be very strong this year. This inclued: Hayate the Combat Butler and Familar of Zero. I've heard about Hayate, from here and other places and really should sit down and watch it someday. :P But as for Zero I'm quite glad to see that the second season is giving the charater some chance to really shine, Louise was almost a givin for making it past round 1. But we also have Queen Henrietta (that one episode really brought her out alot more this time. :) ) and Siesta also managed to make it through the first round. I have a feeling they may have a chance for the next few rounds.... As for now I will provide you a layout of who has made it past Round 1. Keep an eye on this since it appears that this will become a very heated battle for the next few weeks ahead. Touhou Seimoe update As of this point the Exhibition match is over for favorite Touhou 10 charater. And from the end result Nitori beat out everyone else as favorite new charater in the series. It's no wonder why considering that she's cute, adroable, and a Kappa that knows technology to boot. This means now begins the Touhou Seimoe tournament. It actually started about 15 hours ago so you only have so much time to get your vote in. For any Touhou fan here, feel free to toss in your votes and pick two charaters you like and hope they'll advance. ^^ For today we have: Wiggle Nightbug The little bug youkai who is probably the only female charater in the series to dress closely to a boy and yet look cute as well. Known for her naive personality, and quriky ways she makes an interesting charater even for a stage one boss. Tewi Inaba The rabbit youkai with a sneaky personality and lovable adorabrlrness that makes her well liked by many. Plus she is also lucky, so maybe luck will be on her side in the competion? Yuyuko Saigyouji The Ghost princess that runs the Netherworld. Known for her extremly childish carefree personality, and her gluttonous appitite. She is both a very lovable charater for not only these feature but for her remarkable beauty, her tragic "life" and elegant nature. Can a ghost with a tragic history, along with her moe feature make it through the first round? Suika Ibuki Pettan Pettan Tsurupettan! This little oni is definetely a well known face in Gensokyo. Known for her ablity to control density, and her endless drinking habit she is both cute and adorable not only for her power, but her appearance as well. Can she size up against the rest? Shangai Alice's personal doll, very popular by fans, Shanghai is consider by many to be a very cute doll and is well loved by everyone. Will she be a favorite for others? Shizuha Aki The goddess of autumn leaves. Known for her cute looks and her unique leaf dress design she is a nice represention of the change of autumn leaves. But can she stand out with her design alone? Maribel Han A human form the outside world. While not of the regular series, Maribel is a girl trying to figure out along with her partner Renko about the mystery of Gensokyo. So these two tend to spend thier time looking for a way to enter Gensokyo. Luckly Maribel can see borders....but can a human with such a simple talaent make it through when competing with Gensokyo foke? This sums up round one of the contest as usual go to the Seimoe site and vote for two charaters on the poll! Only you can help decide who will be the moeest Touhou charater. Also, plan ahead with the bracket. As more each day will mark a new poll. For now you have till 8 AM central time to vote. So get going! I stayed upto until 4 AM yesterday working on the project which I have to finish by monday. It's almost done and I'm planning to go home today. I'm not sure if I can do anything since I'm quite exhausted... All Nighter2 - It's thursday night and I have to work all night (again..) to meet the deadline. I don't think I can work on the comic strip again. Sorry about lack of comic strips... All Nighter - I had so much works to do, I couldn't return home yesterday... 	"Nice boat! The Day School Days dissappered...and now Higurashi!" by Totaku (2007-09-20) I'm glad I made the call to take the subject of Saimoe on the forum becuase I got a very interesting subject to talk about today. Prrobably one that'll be remember for a long time in the anime world. If any of you have been watching anime this season, you probably know about animes like Gurren Laggan, Lucky Star, Claymore, ect. But also on this same season, we also had the debut of the anime based off from a famous (or infamous) visual novel in called School Days. Akira has mentioned School Days before, so I won't be bothering much on refreshing the memories of the stroy except that is's a stroy that revovled around a unique love traiganle between Makoto, Kotonoha, and Sekai. In the game, it was treated as a piece was fully animated thus was like looking at an anime except you could make descions that affected what Makoto did that would change his path as well as the possible endings. Everyone whos played this know very much about the "infamous" bad endings that gave School Days the reputation it has. And if you don't Akira sure has made enough refferences to it to give you a clue. ^^; Now as for the School Days anime, many were wondering what route the anime would take in regard of the plot. Some have speculated that the way the plot was going could show signs of a bad end. But were not entirly sure. But then after several weeks have passed and yesterday marked the last episode for School Days. However..... On that day, many were expecting to see the ending to School Days to see what would happen between Makoto, and Sekai, and what Kotonoha was going to do. And just when they were ready to watch it air....something happened. The show was discover to have been Canceled! And for 28 minutes it showed nothing but scenery of landscapes, castles, and a boat. This shocked the otaku community greatly, and there was an uproar about it. But it turns out that the majority of tv stations cancelled it because of an event that took place in Japan earlier that day that was related to an extent to the School Day's bad ending. Without going into too much detail, there was a murder that revoled around a girl, her father, and an ax. If you want to read more you can find it here. Because of this reason, this is why no one was able to see the last episode. One TV station sort of revealed a bit about bit about the plot for School Days to those that were concern saying that... Spoiler:.... Blood would be shed End of spolier As for who's we don't know whos but it's anything like the original, it'll be messy as expected. Now despite the sad news revolving around this controversal event there was an interesting humerous upside to this. Thanks to the airing of all that scenry that showed up in place for school day, people talked about this scenery over in the 4chan area, and when they showed the scene with the boat, the person commented with the word "Nice Boat!" The Japanese at 2ch caught on to this and for some reason following this...parodies began poping out of the blue! And from now on the final unaired episode of School Days will be known as the Nice Boat episode. Taking a scene from the scenery replacing the episode we now talk about just how nice that boat was. Heck, even Matoko agrees! He likes that nice boat so much that he decided to become the boat's captain Now as for when we will see School Days again...there is only one hope, A sattielite station called AT-X may still air the anime on the 28th in Japan. But with the issues that grow, only time will really tell if AT-X will carry through with this.... otherwise we will have to wait till a later date is announced or at worse...wait till the DVD release in 2008. Also I'd like to let you know that I decied to hold my talk on Saimoe and Touhou seimoe on the forum so that I could save space here for other rants like today. I will still update it here. But it'll also be updated elsewhere as well. This is it for now....Till next time Ja Matta. ^_^ -Totaku Update: It looks like the girl ax incident has had a big impact on the TV industry, cause it appeared Higurashi Kai has now been postponded as well! It seems now the alot of the violent animes are gettng alot of heat right now due to this incident. This is definetly something I will be covering for weeks to come. Update 2: Now it looks like the company Overflow plans to hold a special screening tonight of the School Days episode 12 tonight. As for where it'll take place it is unknown. All that is known is in order to come in to the screening, you will be required to have a "Unopened box" of School Days or Summer Days to enter. I donno how the fan community will react to this but I don't think the majority will be happy that they'll need to buy another copy. Also AT-X is still in the air on wether or not they will air the episode tomorrow. So only time will tell if this episode will still hit at least one place of the air waves or not. Also Higurashi is back on TV again...at least on some stations. They did however edited the opening to the original OP by removing the hatchet from the ending of the OP replacing it with the junkyard. Other than that all is well for that show at least I think it is....

	"Break#2" by Akira (2007-09-25) Recovering - I think I worked too much last week, I caught cold and was in bed resting for a whole day yesterday. I'm still recovering, but I still have to go to work ; _ ;... Anyway, I'll try my best to get back to drawing. Muvluv Party - I like the song and cute(?) animation. Muvluv Danger zone - scenes from a PC game Muvluv Alternative (+Unlimited) game battle/action part using "Top Gun" music. Music does fit well. Shoujo Kakumei Utena PASSION - clips from Utena movie. I enjoyed both the TV series and the movie. Since this clip show the ending of the movie, maybe you shouldn't watch it if you haven't seen the movie yet. 	"Restart from next Monday" by Akira (2007-10-11) I was really busy with my job for a couple of weeks, I didn't have time to do anything related to Tsunami Channel. Sorry, I didn't write a rant about it for weeks. I'll restart comic strips from next monday (10/15). I recovered from cold and I'm doing fine now.
