"Rants" by Akira
(2001-12-11)

If I remember this correctly, I heard from my father that his cat sometimes brought dead preys to him. His cat proudly showed him dead mouses, dead insects, etc... I thought that was really interesting. I kind of remember from textbook that an adult cat brings dead preys to show her kittens how to hunt (or what to eat). When kittens grow up a bit, next she brings in barely alive preys so kittens can practice hunting (I'm pretty sure foxes do this). I wonder if his cat though my father as her son? Or she just wanted to show off how skilled she was with hunting.

Six characters in one panel is very difficult... But I think I did pretty well with background and character interaction. I guess "practice" is the only solution for improving drawing skill... Speaking of improvements, I'm really getting a hang of using "digital tones". Those are really handy to use and look really great. I got these "digital tones" from Nekomatagi Club who draws comics for "Legend of Galactic Heroes" (Once you enter the HP, go to photoshop). They are royalty FREE so you can use them anywhere. Especially those flowers images are really really nice (I use them very often).
