"Rants" by Akira (2003-11-21)

I had a difficult time coming up with Onii-chan's speech. It took me like... two hours? Argh.. Why aren't they speaking in Japanese!? This is the climax of this story arc and took me 23 pages to build up the tension. I have to make sure readers simpathize with chracters, otherwise story becomes "cheesy" to them...

In comic strips, space is VERY limited. You have to place both images and words just right. And I tell you, it's extremely difficult! I'm always having a difficult time with this step. Ah.. don't forget to put hidden messages/secrets behind character's speech too. Otherwise story won't get interesting. Sigh...
