| "Laika 55" by Akira (2006-10-06) |
2006/10/06 - I'm working on the page. It should be up within few hours... Actually... within 24 hours -_-;
2006/10/08 - Sorry, I was really really late, but Friday's strip is up.
Animation review continues. It seems like I have to watch 30 anime this season. If you have any commment about the anime reviews, feel free to discuss about it at this thread.
- Death Note #1 (A+)
I love the original manga to stat with. On top of that, the animation quality is superb. "It's so beautiful." That's the only thing I can say about this anime.
- BLACK LAGOON The Second Barrage #1 (A)
Second season starts with the "Twin" episode and "Fujiyama Gangster Paradise" follows next. Both episodes are really bloody and depressing, but I love them very much. Animation quality is good as usual.
- Code Geass #1 (A)
Britannia? I didn't know Ultima Online had mecha technology... -_-; Actually I enjoyed the anime a lot since people are killed without any mercy at all and the heroine got killed instantly. I wonder what will happen next.
- Ayakashi Ayashi #1 (B+)
If I rate this series bad, I'll be killed by my sister... Since it's produced by Bones, quality is superb (as always). Monsters are big and strong, and some how main characters have super powers.
- Busou Renkin #1 (B+)
I love the original manga drawn by Nobuhiro Watsuki (who drew "Rurouni Kenshin") and animation was good. I love strange(?) jokes inserted between a serious story.
- Sumomomo momomo #1 (B+)
I wonder what they will do with the "Umakamen".... ^_^; From the OP sequence, it seems like they reduce the exposure by a lot. Computer Graphics was used for their "Special Attacks". I love the main character because he's extremely normal, clever, and weak while all other characters are extremely strong and strange. It was quite funny.
- Ginga Tetsudou Monogatari #1 (B+)
If you are a big fan of Reiji Matsumoto's "Galaxy Express 999" or "Captain Harlock", you might like this anime. It's about people who work for the safety of "Galaxy Railways".
- Asatteno Houkou #1 (B)
Anime based on manga. Story is quite slow paced and something strange/miracle(?) happens at the end. I guess I'll keep watching it, since I can handle slow paced story.
- Red Garden #1 (B-)
Anime starts with interesting opening (reminds me of Gankutsuou), and story started out quite mysteriously. I hope it doesn't end up with super-power/vampire/psychic battle anime -_-;
- Souten no Ken #1 (B-)
"Hokuto no Ken" in rather modern time (1930). The main character's name is Kenshirou and shouted "Atatatatata!!!" just like Kenshirou from "Hokuro no Ken". The famous Kenshirou's phrase "You are already dead" was spoken in Chinese "Ni i chin su ra (?????a????)" since he spent time in ShangHai. It was better than I thought.
- 009-1 #1 (B-)
Spy girl(s) anime by Shoutarou Ishinomori. It's like "Cyborg 009" where all the characters are cyborg women. 009-1 is the leader and she's smart, 009-7 can disguise appearance, 009-3 can see far distance and record the scene, etc.
- Yoake Maeyori Ruriirona #1 (C+)
It one of few renai games I finished playing. I assume anime is based on main Feena story. It wasn't too bad, but those new characters (photographer and his assistant) were not really necessary...
- Negima!? #1 (C)
Starting over the whole series from beginning again. A lot of things were changed (like Kamo-kun is already with Negi), but I guess that's better.
- Super Robot Taisen OG #1 (C-)
I haven't played any of "Super Robot Taisen" games, so I'm not too fond of this series. It looks like a typical big robot anime...
- Shounen Onmyouji #1 (C-)
I don't know how many relatives "Abe no Seimei" had, but the main character of this anime is a "grandson" of Seimei. I'm not too fond of onmyouji, but it started out as a typical anime series...
- Lovely Idol #1 (D+)
"Idol Master" copycat? Hmmm... I don't like idols to start with... -_-;
