I've been long over due to talk about this since the fans asked me to talk over about Touhou to them so they have a better look into why I'm so fasinated by it. I suppose I can go ahead and continue onward. And if Akira keeps the paces he's going I think I'll be loading up a rant per day.
So for now let's go ahead and introduce our next charater in the order of the universe that is Touhou.
Marisa Kirisame
Marisa Kirisame is the other major main charater in the Touhou series. She basiclly a young magician who spends most of her time going about studying magic and looking for ways to improve herself. She lives out within a forest in Gensokyo known as "The Forest of Magic". A place which is supposedly sprawling with material as well as wild life which Marisa tends to fiddle with on her free time.
She was introduced long ago back during the PC-98 series, but her charater didn't truely take form till near the end of it's era which she later moved up into the PC universe in which her charater was pretty much established.
As expected she is always going about fiddling with magic. But she also known for her very upbeat and friendly personality. She is known to visit Reimu and hang out with her on a regular basis at her shrine. She also like to spend time talking to the shopkeeper at a place called "Kourindou" which I will cover later on.... also she is known to say "ze" at the end of her sentences.
Now usually while Reimu generally goes off to solve an incident because it interfears with life and Gensokyo or some how ruins her life. Marisa's approach is different. She generally doesn't give much thought to the situation at hand but rather what she can get out of it. Wether it be spells, books, tureasure. If it's something of value, she'll go after it. Like in the case of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, she basiclly want to loot the place more than anything else. But she always runs into trouble that ends up having her save Gensokyo in the long run anyways.
Those the play Marisa will know that she's generally very fast and she moves around real quick on her broom, but also she is capable to delivering heavy damage with shots. But also she known for coming up with powerful spellcards as well. Such as "Stardust Reviera" and the well know "Master Spark" a gigantic laser which she fires with the aid of her mini-Hakkero.
As time progressed through the Touhou universe we learned more about Marisa's collecting habits and her determination to learn better magic. It is believed that there is a possibility that Marisa herself is trying to aim to become a youkai magician in the long run. Mainly so she can use spells like the magic spark without the aid of her mini hakkero. (Useing it in her current state could ruin her body). But as of this point, it is only a rumor...
But as of this point, Marisa is the pretty much the second most occuring charater in the Touhou series only next to Reimu who's appeared in every game. And even ZUN himself has wrote up certain books and materials that focus on Marisa's study on magic.
In the fannon world, Marisa is pretty close to her actual charater. There are some cases where the fans love to connect her with alot of charaters. Including most of the young magicians in the series. Which has lead to unique relationships. And in most cases made Marisa into a "player". But otherwise, most of everything else mainly derived from the games themselves....
This should conclude Marisa's introduction. Next up on the list is will be the EoSD cast starting with Rumia and onward.
