"Su-Cool 8" by Akira
(2005-12-12)

Most of the character settings and situations drawn in this mini series were already though of and written at Su-Cool summary site. There is nothing new/original about my manga. In fact, this series is greatly inspired/borrowed from comic strips featuring "Su-Cool" character (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, omake).

"How far did you go with him?" joke is rather redundant too ^_^; Saki is in fact a stalker... She must have followed him to his house.

I noticed this while back, but Saki looks like Lisa's disguise in this comic strip. It shows my stock of characters are rather limited -_-;

"Fate/Stay Night: The Anime: The Trailer" by Konstantin
(2005-12-13)

Squee! The wait is almost over for all the Fate/Stay Night fanboys who, like me, lack the advanced Japanese vocabulary needed to play through the game. The anime series based on the game is due to start airing next season and the preview trailer has already hit the torrents.

So far everything looks very impressive. While it would be premature to judge a show's animation quality based on a trailer, what's there looks quite good, and the character designs made the transition to animation without losing any of their charm (though Rider did gain some rather nice, um, assets). All in all, this anime adaptation looks like it's going to stay closer visually to the original game than the anime for Tsukihime (Type Moon's previous game) did.

Plot-wise, the trailer establishes the story's premise, with seven Master mages and their mythical Servants engaged in a deadly battle for the Holy Grail in the middle of a Japanese town. It also references the major events that I could decipher from the game's prologue: Rin and Shirou meeting their respective Servants, and Shirou running for dear life courtesy of Lancer.

All in all, I am even more intrigued about the anime now than before, which I guess is an achievement considering all the squeeing the game has managed to elicit from my depressingly Japanese-proficient friends. ^^
