• About This Page - This is the last page, I'm so relieved now. I want to say "Thank you" for reading this long and 'boring' story. I know most people enjoy gag/parody strips, but sometimes I want to draw stories like this. So please bare with me. Anyway, here are couple of comments about the story:
  • Kenji was little too young to notice, but it was "love in first sight". Who on earth can spend close to year hiding in bush to be with Mai? He couldn't see anything except Mai anymore. No wonder Kasumi got angry.

  • Mai was afraid to be at home alone, so she spent most of her time in the park (maybe in public library when it's raining). Eventhough she was afraid to be with people, she wanted to be close to people. So maybe sitting in the bench was the best she could do. Her small message was small and faint, but Ken-kun received it.

  • Kenji and Kasumi+Wataru got little distant after Kenji went for Mai. They eventually became friends again. I assume Kenji introduced Mai to them, but they didn't get well with her too much. They see Mai as a girl who took Kenji away from them (especially Kasumi).

  • Mai had problem talking to her male classmates (in the beginning) because boys became more manly (taller, bigger) as they grew up. I think Mai had less problem when they were young...

  • As you can notice, Mai doesn't face Kenji when they were talking. Also they are sitting far apart in the bench too. Kenji and Mai still have many problems ahead of them.

  • Sometimes I feel guilty for drawing characters suffer from things I have no knowledge or experiences. Like Mamoru from ExCoKo, I really don't know much of Leukemia. I'm healthy and I don't have any close relatives/friends died from it. Only knowledge I have is from books... There are people who are really suffering from it, and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to write about it in my comic strips so lightly...
