| "Three Swords Style" by Akira (2005-09-26) |
I remembered when I played a frisby with a dog, it was always covered with dog's saliva ^_^; I was quite hesitant to touch it... That's how I come up with today's joke.
This was the best I can do... ^^; It was more difficult to copy Mr. Oda's work than last week's Mr. Toriyama's work. "One Piece" style is different from my drawing style. I use very thick lines with many screen tones (to cover my poor drawing skill), but Eiichiro Oda's lines are very dynamic but sensitive at same time (note he uses very little screen tones too). Only talented artists can draw like that... If you want to see better parody comic strips of "One Piece", I recommend seeing Zacc's ExCoKo guest strips where Roronoa Zolo fight with Laika.
If you like his comic, visit his webcomics (which haven't been updated since April 2004 ;_;)
Please write your comment to this strip at pOnju forum

| "October first" by Akira (2005-10-01 02:57:20) |
I'm a big fan of Miyazaki movies, especially " Laputa: Castle in the Sky". While I was surfing through web, I found this parody image " Sheeta!"... I laugh at one of the comments: Paz - "I'm going to be the Laputa king!! (in One Piece style)"... ^_^;
The other intersting parody I found was this (Japanese only). It is a parody of my favorite comics: Hiroaki Samura's "Mugen no Jyuunin (Blade of the Immortal)" and Koji Kumeta's "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei" (some one made a flash too ^^;). It's making parody of how Koji Kumeta was kicked out from "Weekly Shounen Sunday" (conspiracy by Ken Akamatsu ^^;) and moved to "Weekly Shounen Magazine" in "Blade of the Immortal" style. All the characters drawn in this parody are characters from "Katteni Kaizou" and "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei". I wish I could draw like this...
