	| First| Prev | Next |Last | Parody Strip #34 "Pretty Face" | First| Prev | Next |Last | "Pretty Face" by Akira (2005-10-26) Yasuhiro Kanou's "Pretty Face" is about a high school guy, Masashi Rando, gets into a bus accident and his burnt face was turned into a "pretty face". Unfortunately, he was given the face of Rina Kurimi (his secret love) by the mad scientist/doctor, Dr. Manabe (character you see above). Girls are drawn very cutely, but story is very typical boy's (^_^;) manga. Most readers enjoyed this huge gap in drawing and story. Geez... Why do I have to draw Dr. Manabe? I wanted to draw Rina or Yuna instead. I mean he is the least favorite character from that manga... Anyway, I do truely think scientists are wrongly portraited in manga and comic. 	"Kakurenbo" by Totaku (2005-10-27) I decided that today's rant would be a breif discussion on an anime movie that I just recently heard about that's already curretnly released here in the US and is preparing to debut on Cartoon Network on the "Adult Swim" session this Saturday. The Title of this movie is known as "Kakurenbo: Hide and Seek" This film is only about 25 minutes long, but from what I heard these 25 minutes will probably be worth it. Basiclly this story deals about a myth that when children play the game "Otokoyo" at night (Hide and Seek, basicly) demons will usually come out and hunt them down. The stroy itself deals about a boy who goes into the world of "otokoyo" to find his missing sister. This anime is produced by an independent production unit (established by Syuhei Morita and Daisuke Sajiki in 2003) called YAMATOWORKS and this is the companies's first movie they have done. This short movie also one the 2005 Tokyo Anime Fair and the anime is full 3D that creates this interesting and spooky(and beautiful) relam of CG animation. I highly reconmmend you either go out and buy the anime or go check it out on Adult Swim this Saturday at midnight. For now, I'll present you with the trailers.
