"Rants" by Romy
(2003-03-15)

The cheetah in this illustration is based on a photo. The boy is of course, fictitious. The caption of the photo said that it is rare to find cheetahs on a tree.

Ever since I drew wolves last week, I've been interested in drawing animals. They are hard to draw, especially the furry ones. I'd like to practice more and get better at drawing them. Horses, I've practiced drawing before. And so are dogs and cats. I usually have no problem drawing the heads, but the limbs are the hardest. Especially the hind legs. They are so different from human legs! Usually, animals are tiptoeing when they walk. Their heels are not touching the ground. It's interesting how humans evolved and learned to walk. They probably realized that using heels are more efficient in walking with two legs long long ago. (But not far away in the Galaxy!)
