KESSEN-CHU are the worm which inhabit in Manji's body and make him immortal. Worms heal the wounds by replacing themselves with the wounded tissues. But they don't heal the pain. It would be extremely painful for Manji to hide six blades in his arms...
Manji is famous for carrying 10 different (now more?) very unique swords hiding in his kimono. One of the sword Laika was using when she was cooking was from this comic. I'm really amazed how creative this author is with the swords. I bet it really hurts if Manji accidentally trips. Well I guess it doesn't matter since he is immortal.
The girl's name is "Rin". Manji and Rin are the two main characters in "Blade of the Immortal". Rin hires (asks?) Manji to be her Youjinbou (body guard) while she seek for her parent's revenge.
It was very educational to immitate Hiroaki Samura's art work. I tried my best.... Oh, my I was so amazed how much ink I used for this page (especially their hairs)... I wish I had better paper and blush...
