"Rants" by Romy
(2003-10-12)

It's getting cold in Japan. Where is the autumn? It seems like the summer's end was the beginning of winter.

I don't know why those two people are hugging (or is it just the girl who is hugging the guy?) I'll leave things up to the imaginations of the viewers.

As Akira has mentioned, new shows have started airing in Japan. I was really impressed by ?Planetess". Unfortunately, it's airing on the satellite channel so that I'd have to ask my brother to record the show and save it for me to view. There are just too many shows around, I won't be able to see all of them. However, my brother it trying to view as much as he can (while he works on his comics). I'd have to compliment on his hard effort. :-EBTW, we both agree that ?Cromartie High School" is funny and eccentric. We also agree that not even half of the jokes will get across the cultural barrier out side of Japan though. It's amazing that Production IG (Ghost in the Shell studio) is producing this show. When we showed ?Sugoiyo Masaru-san" (a famous ?gag" anime & manga in Japan) to an American friend, he was completely at a loss, puzzled as to what was so funny about the show. He saw us laughing so hard at the jokes. Oh, well?
