"Rants" by Romy
(2003-11-09)

Regarding the last week's JELLYFISH illustration, somebody had asked me whether there is a background story to it. To answer your question, there is no particular story behind Jellyfish. I named the picture so because the figure reminded me of jellyfish floating in the sea. I don't know if this is a boy or girl, either. I usually leave the imaginative work to the viewers so that they can fill in the blank. ;-)

Today was a national election day. So I voted. People, if you are eligible to vote, vote! There are so many people in Japan who are indifferent to elections and such. They don't know the privileges that they hold. You will eventually pay for the negligence of your right to vote if you don't protect it by voting, using the systems of democracy. It's too late to grieve after it is forfeited from you. So go out and vote whilst you can.
