It was a custom(?) for mother to use their forehead to measure the temperature of their children in Japan. I'm sure there other cultures use same method. I really haven't seen this practice in American culture (haven't seen in movie or in TV). Hmm... I wonder if this is true or not... There is also a difference between the use of thermometer in America and Japan. In Japan we usually put thermometer between underarm. In US (in Europe), we usually put them in mouth. It's so interesting to see the difference in culture. :)
