As you can guess, I am a big fan of Kiyohiko Azuma's
Azumanga-Daioh. I really love the jokes and I highly recommend reading (I mean buying!) this comic. There is also an
anime, if you are interested.
Her name is "Ayumu Kasuga", but because she transfered from a high school in Osaka prefecture, she was called "Osaka" by everyone. Poor Osaka....
I had an easier time drawing this parody strip compare to others (I suffer greatly to immitate other artists' drawing styles)... It took time (5-6 hours) to draw this strip as usual. My drawing style is pretty close to his, so I didn't have to suffer too much with the difference. The only problem was..., maybe this joke might have been drawn by fans. Or the worst case scenario is, maybe it's already drawn in the real Azumanga-Daioh comics. I need to go through the comics again to see if this joke is not redundant. ^_^;
