It looks beautiful, but it doesn't have 'the punch'. I think I like the combination of thin and thick lines like two previous comic strips. I didn't have enough time or will to add thick lines, and I think I'll leave it as it is for the future reference. I had difficult time with coming up with the dialogs again. I was able to draw the comic strip alright, but I couldn't decided how much information I should give out for now... I wanted Laika to say "I'm so in despair of myself (in 'Sayonara Zetsubou sensei' way)", but I decided not to. Please write your comment to this strip at pOnju forum

	"Kyouhaku DOG's" by Akira (2005-11-12) Today I'm going to introduce my recently bought manga "Kyouhaku DOG's -Another Secret-" drawn by Char published from Comic Dengeki Teioh. Char is one of the artists of the famous doujin circle "Neko Bus Tei" (You can see his drawings at the 'Gallery'). Char is also an illustrator of a light novel "Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (Secret of Haruka Nogizaka)" written by Yuusaku Igarashi. "Kyouhaku DOG's" is based on same universe (in fact, same classroom) of "Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu". There are some crossovers like (1) some classmates appear in both novel/manga and (2) main character mentioning about "Nogizaka-san is close to my type" in the manga. There are only two main characters in "Kyouhaku DOG's": Setsuna Yasaki - the typical "dojikko" girl ^_^; who stumbles -> falls/bumps to the main character whenever she walks (Chiyo's quote "her auto-balancer is broken"). She is very shy, timid, and scared all the time. Setsuna acts like an innocent little puppy. Sometimes she's drawn with puppy's ears (+tail) and she looks really really cute ^_^; Keiji Sendai (nickname Chiyo by Setsuna) - known as "Mad Dog" and classmates are afraid of him. He's very strong and wants to live manly. He is known as the otaku-hater by classmates, but he happens to be a very hard-core otaku who loves figures (with skirt off, as default) and plays H games at night with headphones (hello? manly?). Story starts out by Setsuna saying "I'm not going to say this to anyone... So from today on..., please be my slave (dog)..." to Chiyo. She accidentally found out about Chiyo's hidden secret -> took picture of him with a cute figure -> threaten him with it. From that moment, Setsuna timidly and cutely orders Chiyo to eat lunch with her, commute together to school with her, call her by first name, etc. Chiyo tries to get out from this mess, but harder he tries, he gets deeper and deeper into relationship with her. Manga is all about how cute Setsuna is (also Chiyo's rather cute too). I'll be happy to be in Chiyo's position. Story-wise it's quite typical/redundant... I'm not sure how I can continue with this story, if I were the author... Hmmm... maybe I'll introduce a new cute character who finds out about Chiyo's secret and she becomes the second master...? Anyway, I'll find out when the second volume is out next year. Tomorrow, I'll upload the illustration of "Kyouhaku DOG's". Please write your comment to this strip at pOnju forum
