This strip is about a cross reference of "Experimental Comic Kotone". For those people who didn't get what Professor an Tsunami were talking about, they were talking about Onii-chan and Laika. Onii-chan an Laika are working day and night (literally) to create AIs of magical creatures for this magical project.
Most of the main magical system was completed by Laika and Onii-chan, when Onii-chan was an intern for a summer. But Onii-chan left the team after that tragic accident (Professor was expecting him to continue his intern even during high school year). Laika was the only one working on this project (it's very difficult to find a student who is willing to work for a mad scientist.)... Laika really couldn't concentrate on the project (she was busy with her studies too). Onii-chan join the team again, and now Laika and Onii-chan are working as a very good team to finish this project once and for all.
