"Rants" by Akira
(2003-10-27)

This Kotone story arc will continue until end of November. There will be a couple of mini arcs (including Shion's) after that. Laika's second arc will start from January 2004. Comic schedule is pretty much set. According to the plan, I can't rest until spring of next year. I hope I can survive this winter ^^;

Reading Japanese Novels 1

Recently, I've reading novels while I commute to work (about 2 hours total). I used to read "Weekly Shounen Jump (on Monday)" and "Weekly Shounen Sunday (on Wednesday)", but I thought it might be smarter to spend money on books rather than manga mangazines. There are couple of reasons for that:
  1. I can't sell manga magazines to the used book store "Book Off", but I can with novels.
  2. I can spend more time with a novel (about three days) than two manga mangazines (two days).
  3. A normal novels cost about 400-600 yen (about $3-$5). A manga mangazine costs about 220-230yen (about $2). It's about same price per week.
  4. I look smarter reading novel than manga on train :)

Tomorrow, I'll talk about what novels I've read.
