"About Today's Comic" by Akira
(2004-02-24)

I spent a lot of time on Haruna's hair, since today's strip is about her hair. I think I drew it pretty well on the third panel. I usually paint all her hair with black and then I add white highlights. It takes time, but the outcome is great.

"February 24th" by Akira
(2004-02-24 10:10:00)

Today is my birthday. "I am 29 going on 30, I know that I'm naive~(singing)." I'm getting old... If I live 30 more years, I will be old as my parents. That's rather scary... Thanks to the forum members who congratulated me on my birthday at pOnju forum. Although.... as you get old, you don't feel like celebrating your birthday anymore. But thanks anyway... Sigh... Thanks for the Gift too. I enjoyed it a lot :)

"Lord of the Rings" by Akira
(2004-02-24 23:55:15)

Today, I went to see the movie "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" for my birthday present from my sister. Usually Hollywood movies are delayed for a season before it gets into Japan (exception might be "The Matrix Revolution". It was shown simultanenously all over the world). "LofR: Return of the King" began showing on February 14th (The Valentine's Day... ^^;). The movie is doing VERY well in Japan too. It was difficult to get hold of a movie ticket, even though it is very expensive (1800yen = $17 per ticket). I love "Lord of the Rings", so this is the best birthday present ever. Thank you, Romy :)
