	| First| Prev | Next |Last | Parody Strip #23 "Death noTe" | First| Prev | Next |Last | "Death noTe" by Akira (2005-09-05) "Death Note" is one of my favorite mangas in "Weekly Shounen Jump" (following "Hunter x Hunter"). First of all, I love the artwork of Takeshi Obata. Mr. Obata did the art work of Hikaru no GO and I love his artwork since he drew "Ayatsuri Sakon" a long long time ago. Second of all, the story of "Death Note" is... well unpreditable and cool, I think ^^; The second season/episode started and it's getting interesting little by little. 	"Mecha Girl Figures" by Akira (2005-09-06) I've been collecting small figures lately and this one of them. It is a figure from a series where artists moe-fied the mecha from WW2. I remember Konstantin buying the same figure when we shopped around in Akihabara last month. I was rather amazed since we had very similar taste (most of the mangas (including H ones) he bought..., I already had them too) ^^; Anyway, if I have time, I'll upload more pictures of figures I've collected.

	"Weekly Shounen Jump #40" by Akira (2005-09-07) Here are mangas published in this week's "Weekly Shounen Jump": Title Ep. Author(s) Comment BLEACH 193 Taito Kubo Four year anniversary, two full color double title pages (men only and women only). Currently, Ichigo is fighting against Nappa and Vegeta. That's what most people say. NARUTO 274 Masashi Kishimoto Sakura is fighting against an enemy who fight in "Karakuri Circus" style. This manga is filled with fightings as always. Eye Shield 21 151 Ichirou Inagaki + Yuusuke Murata A Game between Deimon v.s. Seibu Ball is finished. And the real "Eye Shield 21" appeared??? One Piece 380 Eiichirou Oda Main characters gathered and a fight at S.S.Robby Island is getting very intense. Tennis no Oujisama 282 Takeshi Konomi People are very excited by the news of a live action movie of "The Prince of Tennis" (in a very sacarstic way - for example fake Japanese news claming Japanese Tennis Association is suing this manga for drawing impossible tennis plays). Gintama 84 Hideaki Sorachi I kind of love this manga. Jokes are told through interactions between characters. They talk and talk and talk, which is quite unique among boys joke comics (usually most jokes are carried through slap-sticks). Muhyo to Roojii no Mahouritu Soudan Jimusho 37 Yoshiyuki Nishi Some people love Roojii because he's so weak and useless (even though he is one of the main characters). I think readers will turn away from this manga, if Roojii becamse powerful and useful. Boboboobo Boobobo 220 Yoshio Sawai Some of the episodes are funny, but I tend to skip this manga... Katekyo Hitman REBORN! 63 Mukuro Rokudou Fan girls love this manga, since it's filled with (handsome) boys. DEATH NOTE 77 Tsugumi Ooba + Takeshi Obata One of my favorite mangas. This manga is interesting since the main character, Light, is EVIL. Anti-hero manga is very rare/unique in boy's comics (especially in Jump). Majin Tantei Nougami Nerou 27 Yuusei Matsui This manga became legend after "Doping Consomme Soup". Many parodies are made after the episode. "This is an entertainment manga which is disguised as a detective/mystery manga" is what author described about his mystery manga. Taizou Moteou Saga 6 Amon Dai This is veeery funny, I tend to look for this manga first when I buy "Jump". Every page is filled with jokes and parodies of anime and manga which only a core otaku (like me) can understand. The author became legend after his previous manga "Muteki Tekki Spin-chan" got canceled in just ten episodes (even though it was funny). I hope he does well this time and at least run for twenty episodes. Mieruhito 7 Toshiaki Iwashiro One of new mangas started two months ago. I can't decide if this is good or bad yet... Hmm...? Mahoutsukai Muku Akira Ookubo Jump is always looking for new comic artists and editors hold the contest every year. 4-5 short stories of new comic artists are published every week and readers decide which one they like the best. This is one of the entries. Takaya Senbugakuen Gekitouden 15 Yuujirou Sakamoto It got famous by a phrase "Ateten no yo" and won the last year's Jump new comic artists contest. Unfortunately, this manga is becoming a typical Jump fighting manga. Takaya trained for a month and is fighting for a school tournament. D.Gray-man 60 Katsura Hoshino I'm not that big fan of this manga, but I like the art-style. Kochira Katushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hasyutsusho ## Osamu Akimoto This manga has been running for close to thirty years. In fact, they don't show episode number anymore (maybe they lost track?)... Mr. FULLSWING 196 Shinya Suzuki The game was told in digest. I fear this manga will get canceled pretty soon. Some people get very excited when they smell cancelation of publication. I mean cancelation is what makes Jump so entertaining. Kirihoushi 14 Yuuki Nakashima This manga is very close to cancelation too. Ways you can tell are: 1) It's at the end of magazines and 2) story is told in a digest... Even though this manga wasn't that bad, it didn't get support from readers (mainly kids). It's very difficult to survive in Jump. Kain 16 Tooru Uchimizu This will be canceled in few weeks. Popularity is everything in Jump. If readers don't support the manga, editors cancel them very ruthlessly. Even "Busou Renkin (author who wrote Rurouni Kenshin)" and "Sherman King" was canceled because of decrease in popularity. Pyuuto fuku! Jagar 212 Kyousuke Usuta Some times this author becomes the god of joke, but unfortunately this episode wasn't that funny. He is one of my favorite manga artists.

	"Aikora 1" by Akira (2005-09-09) "Aikora (Love & Collage)" has started in "Weekly Shounen Sunday" two months ago. This manga is written by Kazurou Inoue who wrote Midori no Hibi (which became an anime as most people know). Mr. Inoue was an assistant of Kazuhiro Fujita who is drawing "Karakuri Circus" and drew one of my favorite shounen manga of all time "Ushio to Tora". Mr. Inoue is known as the "hentai" manga artist (in a good way). All the mangas he has drawn so far have very strange settings. For example, his most famous "Midori no Hibi" was about a main character's RIGHT hand becoming a girlfriend (literally). Somehow he was able to pull throught this 'strange hentai setting' to make a sweet love story (he is genious ^^;)... Other famous one is a short story "Otone no Naisho" which was published in "Sunday Chou Zoukan" years ago. It was about a beautiful sword-woman and a sword with a middle aged cherry-boy Samurai spirit inside. As you can guess, the sword gets harder and bigger when the main character holds the sword... Again Mr. Inoue was able to pull through 'this very hentai setting' to make a nice samurai story. Manga was written together with Bunjuro Nakayama, a story maker of "Mahoromatic". No wonder it was quite 'hentai-tic'.

	"Aikora 2" by Akira (2005-09-10) Hachibee Maeda (15) is the main character of "Aikora (Love & Collage)". As you can guess, he is the main 'hentai' of this manga. He has four fetish in girl's parts. They are: Beautiful clear blue cat eyes. Breast like a tip of Type 200 Bullet Train. Straight legs (without any curve) like anime character, 'Mahoutsukai Sanii-chan'. Sweet deep husky voice. He decided to enter a high school in Tokyo (with a dormitory), so he has more chance to meet with a girl who has one of these parts. Fortunately (or unfortunately), he met with four girls who have these parts in the first day: Tsubame Uryuu (legs) Sakurako Tenmaku (eyes) Yukari Tukino (breast) Kirino Ootori (voice) Story so far is just an introduction of the main characters. From last week, story has gotten little serious (just like previous 'Midori no Hibi'). Even with this very strange fetish setting, Hachibee doesn't become a disgusting/hentai guy. That because he does anything he can to save/protect the girls from any harm (against gangs, for example). Sunday calls this manga "Pinpoint Love Comedy" ^^; There is a website who loves y Kazurou Inoue's works so much, he'd drawing two~three comic strips every week. Hope you enjoy.

	"Aikora 3" by Akira (2005-09-11) Some people see similarity between "Aikora" and "Love Hina" like in this analysis. Main characters of "Love Hina" were: Naru (heroine) Mitsune (story/trouble maker) Shinobu (little sister) Su (strange) Motoko (samurai) Haruka (supervisor) In "Aikora", the characters were reduced, combined, or new factors added: Tsubame (Teacher Kitsune) - because she is a teacher. Sakurako (Narusegawa) - appearance and personality is just like Naru. Otaku call her pesonality "tsundere". Yukari Tukino (Breast/Megane Shinobu) - she acts like Shinobu, but with glasses and bigger breasts ^^; Kirino Ootori (Loli Motoko) - though she is a ninja rather than samurai. I personally enjoy "Aikora" more than "Love Hina", because Hachibee is more manly than Keitarou. Hachibee is hentai, but he's not pervert. That is a big difference. Hachibee's stance is "a knight protecting princess(es)" rather than just a nice kind (pervert) guy. He's not interested in going beyond the princess-knight to boyfriend-girlfriend relationship at all. Hachibee is the man of men.
