Well I'm back once again from the abyss that I've been stuck in for a while. I have been a very busy man still searching for a graphic design job that I can land, and luckly I finally got myself an interview set up for Monday. So te rest is up to how well I present myself then..
For now though, I like to go ahead and explain about the full version of Mountain of Faith.
About a month ago ZUN released a full version of Touhou 10, Mountain of Faith, out at Comiket 72 and as usual the crowd was as crazy as ever over at Comiket so we could say it was a good turn out. But one thing I can say about this game from what I 've seen is that I feel ZUN may be getting in over his head with the massive amount of project he does now a days...
If everyone remembers what I discussed before hand about Reimu and Marisa trying to seek out a way to restore the faith at the Hakurei Shrine and all the colorful charaters they run into along the way.... I'll continue from the event's following thier conflict with Nitori.
The following place the team would go is torward the top of the mountain as they would ascend up the waterfall... many obsticales would get in thier way as they would eventually run into the land of Tengu. While climbing up the mountain they would confront Momizi Inubashiri A white wolf Tengu with a strong sense of hearing and sight that treid to defend the land from the inturders. Follwoing her defeat they team would eventually get to the top of the mountain where they would end up meeting up with an old firend(aquantince more like it) who is familar around Gensokyo....Aya Shameimaru. It turns out Aya was sent by the Tengu lord to find out about the intruders as she was consider one of the best Tengus among the clan. When Aya finds out Reimu and Marisa are the "intruders" she is rather surprised as she knew that they meant no harm and asked them what they came up the mountain looking for. They explain thier situation at hand about the Faith and Aya was going to assist them, but because they were extremly close to the Tengu village, they are going to have to put on a fight first becuase if she did not fight the "intruders" she would be considered a betrayer who sided with the humans. So she deicdes to go easy on them and once she was defeated she aided them with the info about that a Shrine recently appeared in Gensokyo and that maybe the Faith was going there.
The team would appoch this Shirne and upon the gateway, they would confront a Shrine Maiden named Sanae Kotiya. Sanae is a Shrine Maiden that orginally lived in the outside world until she recently magically teleported to Gensokyo to aid her god in finding faith as thier shrine was declining due to the changes in technology and belifes that occured over time. She is known for her powers to produce miracles and was hoping that her miracles would help produce the faith needed to restoore her shrine to it's former glory by not just getting the faith of humans, but youkai as well.... Reimu and Marisa would take on Sanae who thought that wiith the faith she gathers the odds woluld be against the heros, however the team would defeat Sanae, but before they could get the end the faith stealing situation they had to face once last obsticale.....
The team would go to the lake and end up facing against the god of Sanae's shrine. The one responsible for moving her shrine to Gensokyo and attempting the gather the Faith... Kanako Yasaka. It turned out Kanako was gathering faith out of fear that her exsistance would become gone if thier was no one left to beleive in Sanae and her meraciles which is why she orchastated this whole plan to gather faith by coming to the magical land of Gensokyo....The team would have to end up battling the god so that the faith would be restored to it's former state and once the team prevailed, things were brought back to normal as usual....
A few weeks later the team would return to the Shrine for one quick visit when they would end up finding another god resides in the Shrine. A god by the name of Suwako Moriya. Turns out Suwako is actually the original god of the Kotiya Shrine, but she share this spot with Kanako mainly because of of some acient war that took place many Milinnums ago. Without going into too much detail, Suwako has the power to create earth while Kanako creates the sky. They are both somewhat friends now compared to thier history in the past and another thing that is to note is that Suwako is actually an deep ansector of Sanae (which may explain why Sanae can make meraclies).
Now from what I know from seeing the game there are plenty of good things about it such as the fights are still intense and interesting as usual. But there are also some weird points that I must point out such as the replay mode is buggy, and Marisa B suffers from a bug that can make the game extremly easy (too easy) and the ending( without telling you about it) seem to missing something that the others had... But regardless of these flaws, the game still has all the elements that make for a good game thus is entertaining. It may not be great IN, but it not gritty and old like EoSD either... Overall if pretty decent for a Touhou game. The store version should be release this month and hopfully by then, the bugs that haunt the Comiket copy will be long gone. So until then my full opinion is out....
Now on another piece of news, I've been ask to speak about the Maiden of the Kalaidooscope's new popularity contest they have recenty finish preparing called the Touhou Seimoe tournament. To brifely explain, this tournament is pretty simalar to Saimoe in terms that it's a charater popularity poll except this one focues on Touhou charaters. The reason for "Sei"moe is because since this was a contest constructed mainly for the Western audience(others are welcome to join in though. ^^). As of right now the crew is holding a Exhibition match for the favorite Touhou 10 chatater. So any of you Touhou fans here on the Tsunami Channel come over and throw in your vote, you can help determine who is the moeest of Touhou charaters.... for touhou 10. Also the officla Seimoe tournament starts on Sept 18th so get yourself ready for it. Read over the brackets...and plan out your votes...
As for the Saimoe torunament as for wondering why I have brought it up after I last talked about it? I plan to cover a summary of the first paliminaries once they are complete...as of what I seen many epic battles came frome the first paliminary sections....
