All magic creatures change sizes according to how much Mina put magic power into. Since Mina's magic power is still weak, she can't output enough magic power to support both "Sword" and "Armor" at full size. Also, it takes a lot of energy to keep magical creatures around. Mina has to cut down energy loss by minimizing the summoning time.
