"Rants" by Akira
(2002-08-08)

The technique Mina used to cut a log to create boomerangs are called "Partial Summoning". Mina doesn't have to summon (?) full "sword" in order to use its magic. She could summon only part of it (in this case blade only). It is very useful to minimize MP usage. So why was Mina using a whole "Sword" when fighting against "Wind"? That's because "Complete Summoning" is much cooler to draw. Also Mina was using "sword" to block "Wind"'s attack too. It's much easier to keep sword in a full shape.

I think Mina doesn't want to ask Professor for a help. And she has a strong confidence in her abilities. Mina is a very strong girl. That's what I like about her.
