"Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu Parody" by Akira
(2006-06-30)

Well, I finished watching this anime series and this idea came into my mind. Go Kyon! You can become our savior.

I hope people don't get confused... As far as I know, real Konstantin is not interested in guys. So Konstantin's reaction "Me either" is okay.

"Summer Previews" by Konstantin
(2006-07-04)

With the spring anime season just about over, I've started digging around for information on the summer shows. Since the fansubbers are still working on the first episodes, the English-language information is still pretty sparse, but it does look like this season isn't going to be nearly as prolific as the last one, hopefully giving me a chance to catch up on all the shows I put on the back burner over the past few months.

So far I am particularly excited about the second season of Honey and Clover and NHK ni Youkoso!, though hopefully the list will grow as shows get subbed. Honey and Clover was my favorite series of last year, and it looks like the sequel is going to be done in exactly the same style as the original, so hopefully it will not disappoint. NHK also has some very high expectations to live up to, since the manga it's based on has gained quite a bit of infamy among the online fandom. I always liked anime about fan culture, and a comedy about some of its darker aspects definitely sounds intriguing.

Some of the other promising shows are Zero no Tsukaima (based on a novel, made by the same people who did Shakugan no Shana but only 13 eps long), Tsuyokiss CoolxSweet (a cast of tsunderekko? this could be either awesome or godawful), Coyote Ragtime Show (haven't found much info about the show itself, but it's made by the people who did Futakoi Alternative, Dokkoida, and 2x2=Shinobuden, and that's enough to catch my curiosity), Chokotto Sister (in a word, moe~), and Binbou Shimai Monogatari (could be cute, could be boring, will probably be both).

And finally, there's Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z. Yes, you read that right. From gag to internet hoax, to actual show. It looks about as brain-melting as it sounds. ^^

"Updates on liscening in North America and awaiting the Summer anime line up" by Totaku
(2006-07-06)

Well, the Spring season of anime is over...this is probably one of the best seasons to date from my experience with anime (with the massive success of Haruhi, Higurashi, and a few other noteworthy anime.) I would like to give a review on my thoughts reagarding this Spring of the anime I viewed so far, but I've been rather busy. ^^;; So I'll be saving it for next week....

For the time being I'm going to talk aobut what's been up here in the North regarding anime here. As you all probably know Anime Expo has already come and gone and has made it's impression with all the stuff you could collect, the cosplayers, ect.....

But what's reallly interesting was about the announcement of the new animes that have been licensed for the US I'll give you a list of the one's I know are pretty good (at least to my eyes)

Black Lagoon- This one was almost a gimme right off the bat. Genon knows good material when they make it and usually liscense it off the bat. I haven't had time to see it but I heard it was very successful (right along the same line as Haruhi).

.hack//Root- Being a .hack fan, I'm sorta wait patiently to see how this will work out. I sorta like Twightlight of the Braclet (Still think Sign was better though) but, I'm hoping this one will be more fun. ^^

Full Metal Panic: Second RaidNow this is what I was waiting for. The direct sequle to FMP I heard this one was very good, but I never had a chance to see it. ^^; I've wached both the original FMP and Fummoffu and found them both very nicely done and for some reason I liked the dubbed format as well. ^^

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Scioty- Now how did this pass my nose...I've looked at this new ghost in the Shell series and loved what I've seen of it, but I didn't recall a movie in production. ^^;

Pani Poni Dash Now this was sort of unexpected....I've seen this one before and found PPD pretty funny to my view. I sort of labeled it as a Azumana/Excel wannabe series but I found the anime rather entetaining for it's off the wall weirdness and it's hidden references. XD ADV....what did you get yourself into....don't you realize this might be hard to pull off with all those crazy refences they throw through the whole show? XD Oh well I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Nerima Daikon Brother- This one was definetely one of the biggest underdogs to see ever get liscneed...It never got any publicity on the net and the best people have seen were pictures of it. However it turns out this was picked out of the litter to be brought to the US. Well to explain this is a muscial anime dealing with these werid Blue Brothers wannabes getting into all sort of wierd comical mischife while trying to get a concert ready.....oh and did I forget to say Nabeshin is in it too?

Ok finally, as for anime I plan to watch as Konstantin already mentioned there are a few that looks promising. The first one is the Power Puff anime, I heard from some fokes this has mixed views.....But for my case I don't thing I'll be bothered by it unless it turns out to be so horrible that it makes me cry.....Also I'm looking to see Coyote Ragtime Show, there's something interesting about vicotiran style girls with nasty weapons...can't say much till I see it though....

That's all for now..Till next time....
Ya matta! ^_^
