"Rants" by Akira
(2001-10-24)

This sword technique is a joke from Rurouni Kenshin. There is a legend that an expert swordsman with a well forged sword can cut vegetables and reconnect them without any trace. I have my own interpretaion of this technique and will explain later in the episodes. Oh yeah, about Kenshin, new 2 volume OVA seris will be released soon (December 2001, February 2002). It is a continuation of the previous 4 OVA series which means the last chapter of Kenshin manga. I hope it will be good...

The title is a joke from Hisashi Eguchi's "Stop Hibari-kun". It is a very old manga (80's) from "Weekly Jump". Hisashi Eguchi is the author who did character design for anime "Roujin Z" and he is EXTREMELY famous for cute girls and very very very very slow work speed (he sometimes quit series without any conclusion). Dispite his bad work habits, the comic "Stop Hibari-kun" was really funny. They actually made an anime too (1983). The story was: main character moved to his mother's friend's house (which happen to be YAKUZA family - Japanese gang) after his mother die. At the new house, he was introduced to four very attractive girls/women (range from 10 year old to 20 year old or so). But the most attractive and prettiest girl, Hibari, was actually a guy :) Too bad for the main character, Hibari seems to like him a lot. Since then, his happy (?) and crazy life started. Most people will agree, "Stop Hibari-kun" is one of the milestone of "Weekly Jump".
