Hey everyone,
I know it's been a long time since I've done any rants. The reason why this happened is because my hands have been tied up with alot of massive situatons going on within my life that I have no idea what will be happening. I'm still doing job hunting as usual, and at the same time I'm taking on some web design project for a few clients. One project I'm doing is for a close friend while the other I'm doing is a layout design for The ShrineMaiden site (A Touhou fan site). I could go into details but I'm going to save it for later.
Looking at the rants Akiras already cover one of the new IOSYS flashes on thier new Touhou remix music track that'll be released on Comiket 72 (in time for Mountain of Faith's release.
As you probably already know,of the Usatei which is deticated torwards Tewi, the Youkai rabbit. But there are a few other as well that other flash artists are doing for various songs to promote the new disk.
Taboo Tears You Up - A strange song that's a remix of Flandre Scarlet's theme song. I donno if I call the flash visually apealling overall, but its simplisty and hyper techno rythem makes it worth at least listening too. Still very nice.
Oyome Ni Shinasai - If there is one word to describe this flash it's MOOOOOEEEEE~! There is so much cuteness going on in this flash it melts me away. It's based on the stage three song from Pefect Cherry Blossom. And I say this flash is worth it's weight in cuteness.
- Futatsu no TsubasaThe final flash in the promotion for the new Touhou fan sound track from IOSYS. It mainly focuses on Marisa to an extent while we see the most of them battle against Fujiwara no Mouko. Lots of intensity and action and above all else, the flash is done by one of my few favorite flash artists, Clairvoyance, famed for thier well known flash series "Nightmare City"
Other than that, anyone who's been keep in track with the time of the month knows that Saimoe has returned and as of this point we are in the beginning of the Pelimnaries, so look forward to updates on this as time progresses.
Finally, I recall someone said on the board that they wonder why I have such a deep interest in Touhou and why I don't talk about other shumup? Well, in a way....one of the things that makes this special to me is there's something powerful about this series that draws me to it. In a way...it is like what drew me to the Tsunami Channel. Something I can't describe but yet know it is so special that I stick with it for as long as I do. Powerful memorable charaters, brilliant concepts, and that special hint of uniqueness that make it stand out from the rest of the things out there.
But since someone wants to see me talk about a few other Shumups well lemme go and do one just to entertain you. I like some old school shooters that I use to play as a kid but one game that sticks in my head the most from the old school days was a game Fantasy Zone from Sega. I know that it's pretty random, but it was rather fun playing around as a little ship taking out werid baddies and bases till you fought against a huge boss that had thier own unique attacks. It was easy up to the later part and probably most difficult when you fought against the final boss. But over all still fun.
