"Restart of Romy's Weekend Illustrations" by Romy
(2010-09-18)

Hi TsuChan fans!

Since my brother Akira restarted his ExCoKo strips, I've also figured that it's about time I made a come back, too!
So to start off, I've done a bit of fanart...in Ghibli style.

Here's an illustration of Oniichan and Kotone, as if they were the Ghibli characters. I have to admit that I got inspired to do this after watching the latest Ghibli movie Karigurashi no Arrietty.

As you can see, I think what makes Ghibli characters so Ghibli is the gap between their noses and mouths. Hair styles are also simplistic, too. (And they're all designed to make absolute sense in 3D. So no wild hyper-dimensional antennas and such.)

The fanart continues tomorrow.

See you then,
-Romy
